I just got back from the Israel Rally.

Here are some quick photos for your viewing pleasure.

I did get some interesting video ... especially of the Israeli Ambassador's speech.

As an aside ... let me say it was nice to be among adults. Lefty rallies (vastly more common and much, much funnier) generally boil down (both physically and intellectually) to a grotesque, surreal and dour variety of high-school pep rally. This rally was smooth, professional and intelligent. Bravo lads. Plus ... no puppets.

**** UPDATE ****

Here's my video of Ambassador Daniel Ayalon's address to the Solidarity with Israel Rally, today, in Freedom Park.

For a higher definition version of the video click here.

There's a brief incident where the view is blocked by a sign. It soon passes.

[I'm trying YouTube here ... not sure if I'll stick with it]

Please check back ... I'll have to process the stuff and then post it. That usually takes a couple of hours.

Most of the rally was pretty tame. I'd say there was a crowd of about 4,000 people there. There was a lot of pro-Bush feeling in the crowd. A lot.

I managed to get an interview with this bloke. His sign says "True Muslims support Israel".

Interesting.

I'll post the video of my interview soon. Please check back for updates.

**** UPDATE ****

OK, I'm going to try YouTube on this one ... let's see how it works.

Wow, what a great interview. I've met only two other Muslims who share his viewpoint. One was an Israeli Arab who has family in the IDF, and the other from Lebanon who served in the Lebanese Army in the early 1980s.

Thank you.

I Linked to your story from Screw the Lebanese Americans - Let them die in Lebanon

The MSM never covers any story like a blogger.

Thanks a lot for your coverage. I didn't make it there until after Amb. Ayalon spoke, and it sounds like his was the best speech of the event.

My feeble shots of the crowd are here.

Thanks for posting this. This was great to see, ecspecially after the media posted scores of pro-Lebanon/Hezbollah pic rallies. Nowhere did I see pics of Israel supporting rallies.

I'm gonna link to you with this video.

Glad to have discovered your blog.
